In this Webinar participants will be introduced into the Quantitative EEG (QEEG) field analysis. With the great advance in the applications of the computacional sciences, QEEG has been provide with a great variety of specific tools designed for research, assessment and treatment for conditions like ADD and ADHD, TBI, Depression, just to mention a few, as well as to empower applications in Health like Peak Performance Training.

In the last 10 years the use of different software approaches for the Brain waves analysis have been proven not only reliable but with all the scientific characteristics for its use as tools for the use of EEG for a wide variety of applications other than those of Seizures diagnosis and Basic Research in Cognitive Sciences only. Proving that algorithms are powerful means for the EEG analysis in fields that with enormous precision allowed clinicians for the precise localizations of Neural Generators with an approximation of 1mm; in order to be use as the base of rehabilitation and treatment protocols.

During this 1.5 hours participants will review some of the basics of EEG analysis to get into the basic structure of Brain Mapping techniques and will be introduce to QEEG analysis software like: LORETA Key, sLORETA, eLORETA, LORETA Connectivity, Neuroguide and Brainstorm and its description as the most powerful instruments in Brain Waves distribution in different Conditions and in Health.

In this webinar participants will be introduced to the most proven Biofeedback protocols for Tension Type Headache and Migraine headache.

Since 1970 Tension Type Headache (TTH) has been one of the conditions in which Biofeedback has been proven as an effective treatment. In fact one of the first Biofeedback protocols formally described was the first of its kind for this purpose. It is well known that if Biofeedback is an effective tool for the treatment of different health conditions because it helps to control or regulate the natural neurophysiological mechanisms underlying or precipitated them. This is the case of TTH that is caused by the abnormal and constant muscular tension of the head, face and neck muscles. Since 1986 when the International Committee for the Classification of Headaches listed TTH as one of the 150 different headache types as a condition with it's own 11 different subtypes, this Committee recommended as a "must" the use of Surface Electromyography as the appropriate technique for the evaluation and diagnosis of TTH and its 11 different subtypes. This is precisely the basic approach for the Biofeedback treatment of TTH, the EMG Biofeedback of the head, face and neck muscles involved in it. In this Webinar participants will learn the Neurophysiological fundamentals to this treatment and the Psychophysiological, Neurophysiological and Behavioral bases for it, use and prescription as well as its effectiveness.

Being a very different condition, Migraine has been studied many years ago in Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosciences. In the 80's the first Temperature Biofeedback protocol for the treatment of Migraine was published. Mechanisms underlying Migraine are complicated and besides it has its specific changes in the Autonomic Nervous System, the most important precipitants of Migraine crisis are in the Central Nervous System, mainly in certain neurotransmiters groups. But it has been proved that if a Migraine patient is trained to increase the peripheral skin temperature many Migraine crises can be aborted. Modern treatments have been designed for the prevention, abortion and contention of Migraine crisis with remarkable success with achievements that alowed patients to successfully manage their condition.
